About Us

Nicholas Troilo, owner of Nicholas Roberts Fine Wine Merchants in Darien founded Turning Wine Into Water in 2005. Alarmed by the harsh realities faced by families and children in Africa who lack access to clean water, Nick decided to do something. He and his two sons/business partners, Robert and Peter, began contributing a portion of wine sales from special events and Wine of the Month memberships to the construction of a clean water well in Zambia. This well now provides safe, clean fresh water to more than 250 people in the Makungwa area of Zambia.

This success story can be replicated in other communities in the developing world… with your help.

100% of what we raise is invested in clean water projects and programs.
