Turning Wine Into Water Hosts 5th Annual Harvest Wine Tasting
Darien, CT – Over 100 people attended Turning Wine Into Water’s 5th annual wine tasting event on October 9th at the Equinox Fitness Center in Darien. The event featured approximately 60 wines provided by three major importers; Wilson Daniels, Frederick Wildman and Michael Skurnik. The event was free and open to the public, though donations were requested.
“I appreciate all the people who turned out to attend our annual wine tasting and were willing to donate to our cause of developing clean water resources for some of Africa’s poorest people,” said Nick Troilo, founder of Turning Wine Into Water. “I am always grateful to find like-minded individuals who agree that making clean water available to these people can be a reality if we have the will to do so.”
Turning Wine Into Water, a 501 (c) (3) public charity, was founded in 2005 by Nicholas Troilo and his sons Robert and Peter and strives to provide access to clean, safe drinking water to some of the world’s poorest populations in Africa. More than 5,500 people have been helped by the organization’s efforts. The Troilo trio are the owners of Nicholas Roberts Fine Wine Merchants in Darien and Nicholas Roberts Gourment Bistro in Norwalk.
One hundred percent of donations made to Turning Wine Into Water go directly to aiding the poor.
